Company Verification Process
All companies registering on Blackbeard's Barrels are subject to a verification process. This may include review of company registration documents, proof of trading authority, corporate structure documentation and trade references. The level of verification required may vary depending on the nature and scale of proposed transactions.
Sanctions Screening
We are committed to operating in compliance with applicable international sanctions regulations. Registered companies and their beneficial owners are screened against relevant restricted party lists, including those maintained by the United Nations, European Union, United States (OFAC), United Kingdom and other applicable jurisdictions.
Know Your Customer (KYC)
Our KYC processes are designed to verify the identity and legitimacy of companies using our platform. Documentation that may be requested includes: certificate of incorporation, memorandum and articles of association, proof of registered address, identification documents for key personnel, proof of authority to trade, and bank references.
Trade Compliance & Export Controls
All introductions facilitated through the platform must comply with applicable trade regulations, export controls and customs requirements. We do not facilitate introductions where there is reason to believe a proposed transaction would violate applicable trade restrictions or export control regulations.
Restricted Jurisdictions
We do not facilitate introductions or transactions involving jurisdictions subject to comprehensive international sanctions programmes. Users are required to confirm that their proposed transactions do not involve sanctioned entities, jurisdictions or prohibited activities.
Confidentiality
Commercial information submitted to the platform is treated with strict confidentiality. Information is shared with potential counterparties only with the submitting party's consent and only to the extent necessary to facilitate a potential introduction. All personnel with access to commercial data are subject to confidentiality obligations.
All parties are responsible for their own legal, regulatory and commercial due diligence. Blackbeard's Barrels verification processes are supportive in nature and do not replace the obligation of counterparties to conduct their own independent checks.
